US Ambassador to Thailand Glyn T. Davies and his spouse Jacqueline M. Davies have visited Kamphaeng Phet province to study its development policy.
Governor Thatchai Srisuwan, his deputies, and various heads of local departments welcomed the ambassador and his accompanying officials at City Hall, where a briefing on the province’s development projects was held. Afterward, Mr. Davies toured Kamphaeng Phet Historical Park before concluding his trip at Kamphaeng Phet Hospital.
The ambassador praised the various agencies of Kamphaeng Phet on their efforts to improve people’s livelihoods and the province’s infrastructure. He also thanked the governor for the warm welcome and expressed admiration for the people’s love of local arts and culture.
Ambassador Davies took the opportunity to voice his appreciation for 200 years of diplomatic relations between the United States and Thailand.
