The Prime Minister has confirmed Thailand’s commitment to achieving 200 billion US dollars in ASEAN – India trade value by 2022.
Prime Minister Gen Prayut Chan-o-cha attended the ASEAN – India Summit in New Delhi and witnessed the unveiling of a postage stamp commemorating 25 years of relations between the regional bloc and India.
The premier then took part in discussions on the values and goals shared by ASEAN and India, where he proposed that both parties mobilize efforts to achieve 200 billion US dollars in value of trade by 2022.
Gen Prayut also proposed the setting up of network cities to support human resource development as well as cultural and technological connectivity. Furthermore, he offered Thailand’s commitment as coordinator for ASEAN – Indian relations to facilitate constructive partnerships.
