The Department of Business Development (DBD) is holding an event titled “Social Gift Fair” as part of its plan to promote social enterprises.
Social Gift Fair is taking place on the third floor of the Ministry of Commerce in Nonthaburi province. DBD Director-General Kulanee Issadisai presided over the opening ceremony. The fair is divided into four zones, which offer services and aid to answer all participants’ needs.
The first zone features selected products offered by different aid organizations for the underprivileged and community enterprises. Entrepreneurs seeking business partnerships, networking, and consultation on managing social enterprises can visit the second and third zones. The fourth zone treats event-goers to discount outlets and a lucky draw.
Kulanee took the opportunity to affirm her department’s intention to address socioeconomic problems in the country. She said the DBD had been working on ways to strengthen social enterprises, which are gaining importance globally, so that they can benefit the people, their communities, as well as the environment.
