The government has issued a summary of its year-end cashflow, revealing higher than expected revenue.
Revenue totaled around 551 billion baht, approximately 1.65 billion or 0.3 percent higher than in the same period last year. The increase was mainly attributed to the collection of 4G license fees.
Expenses totaled 967 billion baht, while loans taken out to close the deficit totaled 160 billion baht, leaving treasury reserves of 180 billion baht as of December last year.
Net revenue in the first quarter of 2018 is likely to reach 547 billion baht, approximately 23 billion higher than expected due to motor vehicle and alcohol excise taxes.
